ANZUNS is the peak professional organisation for urology nursing in Australia and New Zealand.
ANZUNS objectives are:
To create the opportunity for Urology Nurses to undertake research based practice through education
To provide expertise through the provision of guidelines, standards of practice and special interest groups
To provide leadership to facilitate collaboration amongst urology health professionals
Automatic membership of ANZUNS is granted to a person working in or interested in urology nursing, providing they are a financial member of the State / New Zealand association of urological nurses.
ANZUNS does not have an application form for membership. Excluding International Membership – Membership is only available through a State or New Zealand Urological Nurses Society.
International Membership can be applied for via email to the ANZUNS secretary. International Members are recognised as affiliated members. International Members are not eligible to apply for scholarships or be eligible for any awards or prizes offered by ANZUNS. The fee for this membership is $50.
An elected president coordinates a volunteer executive committee which includes representatives from each State / New Zealand group. This committee is elected on an annual basis and holds three meetings per annum with ongoing communication in between meetings to progress business.
