BARD Best Paper 2017:

The Bard Best Paper 2017 application period is now open.

The Bard Best Paper award is designed to support the educational growth of SUNWA members. The aim of the Best Paper is to generate discussion and promote awareness of the diversity of our roles, our practice and healthcare centres and our daily experiences in Urology Nursing through presentation of nursing case studies. Abbvie Nurses Educational Grant 2017

The Abbvie Nurses Educational Grant 2017 application period is now closed.
The $2000 Abbvie Nurses Educational Grant is designed to support members’ attendance at an educational symposium which has a definite urology nursing focus. This is a fantastic opportunity for members and the award is for use any time in 2017.

The successful applicant for this Grant is Lisa Ferri. Congratulations Lisa, we look forward to your presentation later in the year.
 
 

USANZ 70th / ANZUNS 22nd Annual Scientific Meeting SUNWA Scholarship 2017

The SUNWA Scholarship application period is now closed.
The SUNWA Scholarship is used to assist SUNWA members in attending the USANZ 70th / ANZUNS 22nd Annual Scientific Meeting in 2017. This Scholarship has been designed to encourage members to continue their education, professional development, and facilitate networking with other urology nurses.

Congratulations to the two successful applicants for this year: Francesca Leggott and Gregory Bock. Their USANZ/ANZUNS 2017 Conference feedback can be read in Issue No. 18, April 2017 SUNWA Newsletter.
 
 

ABOUT US:

Our Aim

The Society of Urological Nurses Western Australia has been established with the aim of promoting a communication network for those nurses and health professionals with a special interest in urology.

This Society will provide a forum for education, research and the sharing of ideas and information. It will endeavour to promote the highest standards of practice in urological nursing.

Our Objectives

The Society of Urological Nurses Western Australia supports the following objectives:

  • To provide a forum for educational opportunities
  • To promote nursing research
  • To facilitate access to relevant resource material
  • To promote the role of the urological nurse in the health care system
  • To promote a standard of excellence in nursing practice

 

MEMBERSHIP:

Membership is $70 per annum of which $20 goes to ANZUNS membership fees.
Open to registered and enrolled nurses and will be granted on receipt of the prescribed application or renewal form.

Members are entitled to quarterly newsletters, use of educational resource materials, attendance at all educational seminars/lectures and voting rights at the Annual General Meeting.

Education events are held three times a year. The AGM will be held at the mid year Study Event.
